This 10-part series by Carl Webster from DABCC is an eye-opening look at how to properly configure and manage Citrix XenApp5 and XenServer 5.5. Webster provides a fairly in-depth explanation of the key features of each product and how to get started using them in a business context.

CIO published this excellent resource in 2008 that surveyed 300 Chief Information Officers regarding their experiences with virtualization across a broad range of topic areas.  Their responses are still relevant today in terms of understanding perceptions and issues surrounding not just server virtualization, but virtualization as a whole.
 
Jack Wade of SunGard offers 10 tips and suggestions on how to use server virtualization to significantly decrease recovery time objectives.  These include moving beyond traditional disaster recovery thinking and embracing the new versatility provided by server virtualization technology.
