Virtualization provider VMware has been recognised by a number of industry publications for the work of its partner network.

The initiative, which is designed to provide partners with the tools they need to boost their business and increase profitability, has been given three awards in the past six months.

ChannelWeb named the company in its 2010 Coolest Cloud Infrastructure Vendors lists, Channel Insider gave the service its Bull's Eye Award and Everything Channel named the service its CRN 2009 Product of the year.

Doug Smith, senior director of global partner sales at VMware, said it was "great" for the company to be recognised for its investments in the area.

He added: "Some of those investments include focused technical advisory groups to encourage shared feedback from our partners, as well as a broadened training and educational offering through Partner University to help our partners build a full virtualization practice."

VMware recently announced the launch of its Partner Exchange 2010, the company's third annual global partner conference.
