The recruitment industry is likely to benefit significantly from the use of cloud computing services such as managed hosting, one sector expert has predicted.

Richard Nott, website director of CWJobs, told OnRec.com that as cloud computing is a trend "at front of the mind" for jobseekers and recruiters, it is encouraging to see IT professionals recognise the career opportunities emerging from it.

His comments followed the publication of a survey by the organisation which showed that 40 per cent of IT professionals believe the rise of cloud computing will result in more jobs being created.

Mr Nott was speaking at the annual CWJobs.co.uk Breakfast Briefing in central London yesterday (July 27th), where over 40 recruiters attended to hear how the rise of cloud computing is expected to impact IT jobs.

"Yet the confusion surrounding which skills will be necessary for these jobs is challenging. The speakers did a fantastic job of bringing clarity to this and the feedback we received suggested it was a valuable experience for all recruiters in attendance," he told the website.
